Board Elects Two New Members

Higher Ground welcomes Grant Maves and Kenneth Stable to the Board of Directors.................

Grant Maves was introduced to Higher Ground just over a year ago through one of Higher Ground's sponsors, Sullivan Hayes Brokerage where he is an active broker. Grant is a native of Chicago, but has lived in Colorado for the past 16 years.  His desire to become more active helping at-risk and challenged youth lead him to become involved with the Higher Ground mentoring program. Grant joins the board motivated to continue working with youth in an effort to give back to the Denver community.

Kenneth Stable came to Higher Ground by attending the very 1st camp 11 years ago as a 13 year old camper.  He stayed involved in the program and maintained a relationship with his mentor through the years.  He became the first in his family to graduate from college (Creighton) in 2009.  Upon his return to Denver, he wanted to give back to Higher Ground so he volunteered as a coach at camp, became a mentor himself.  He has now joined the board with an invaluable perspective from someone who has been through the program.
