Male Mentors Scream Like Girls

We had a record turn out at our boys and girls combined Halloween mentor event on October 22nd! Eighty teens and mentors gathered at Heritage Square in Golden, CO, for a frightful walk through Spider Mansion, a haunted house rated 5 on a fear scale of 1-5.

Teens and mentors, alike, while waiting for their turn to enter the haunted house, squealed and shifted in nervous anticipation of what was to come. Several mentors whined and tried to back out at the last minute. With rushing adrenaline, each group traveled through deep darkness, around corners, and over unstable walkways. You could hear screams of both fright and delight from encounters with clowns, monsters, chainsaws, and the demented. Dan Koski, lead camp facilitator and mentor, was heard screaming like a little girl by many participants.

Despite cold weather, everyone had a ghoulishly grand time, and made our annual Halloween mentor event a scream!
